The 2nd PAGÇEV Plastic Recycling Conference Took Place

The 2nd Plastic Recycling Conference, organized this year by PAGÇEV Green Transformation and Technology Association, was held on May 8, 2025, in Istanbul with high participation. The event took place concurrently with the RePlast Eurasia Plastic Recycling Technologies and Raw Materials Fair at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center.

Following the opening speech by PAGEV Congress Committee Chairman Hamdi Yazır, the conference continued with opening remarks from RePlast Eurasia Advisory Board Chairman Bernard Merkx and PAGÇEV President Yavuz Eroğlu.

Three panels were held throughout the event:

-In the panel titled “International Perspective on Plastic Recycling: Global Developments and New Trends,” global policies, technological transformation, and regulatory frameworks were discussed.

-The “Recycled Plastic Content and Recycling Process Certification” panel explored certification systems, traceability, and quality processes.

-The panel “Use of Recycled Plastic: Opportunities, Quality Management, and Supply Chain” evaluated application areas of recycled plastics, quality management approaches, and supply chain dynamics.

The conference stood out as a platform that strongly emphasized recycling, sustainable technologies, and circular economy themes within the plastics industry. In addition, local and international participants shared their experiences during the seminars, contributing to the broader adoption of a recycling-oriented vision.
