Save as Much Energy with Plastics as 46 Million Cars Consume Annually!

The Austrian independent consultancy firm Denkstatt has completed its report on the environmental impacts of plastics, and the findings were presented to the European Parliament. The report, which contains striking facts about energy savings, provides results that challenge the notion that plastics are not environmentally friendly. According to the research, using plastics could save as much energy annually as is consumed by 46 million cars. If plastics are chosen instead of alternatives, carbon dioxide emissions could be reduced by an amount equivalent to Belgium’s total emissions, and an annual energy saving of 639.4 billion kWh could be achieved.
