The general method commonly applied for recycling plastic packaging is as follows: First, plastic packaging collected in containers is brought to a sorting and collection facility, where it undergoes an initial screening process. At this stage, the plastic packaging is separated according to type, shredded into smaller pieces, washed, dried, and then stored for further processing.
