Silivri Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu visits Sem Plastik

Silivri Mayor Bora Balcıoğlu visited the SEM Plastik Factory, which operates in the district and continues its production at a modern facility spanning 20,000 square meters, together with the President of the Silivri Industrialists and Businesspeople Association (SİAD), Hakan Kocabaş, and association members.

Emphasizing that the company exports to nearly 160 countries, Mayor Balcıoğlu met with the factory’s board of directors and employees to discuss the production process, employment structure, and the company’s contributions to the Silivri economy.

Following the visit, Mayor Balcıoğlu shared the following remarks:
“Together with our SİAD President Hakan Kocabaş, we visited the SEM Plastik Factory, which produces at its 20,000-square-meter modern facility in Silivri and exports to nearly 160 countries. We came together with the board of directors and the dedicated workforce of this valuable company, which is a source of pride for our country with its broad customer portfolio ranging from the world’s largest airline companies to international brands. We jointly evaluated our district’s industrial strength, employment potential, and production vision. I sincerely thank the SEM Plastik family and all employees for their warm welcome, hospitality, and strong contributions to the Silivri economy.”

The visit was described as an important step toward strengthening cooperation between the public sector and industry.
