Pagev held the second “Youth Debate Competition”organized and supported by the European Plastic Manufacturers Association PLASTICSEUROPE. Plastic and environmental issues were discussed by young people as a result of the competition 10 finalist was entitled to go to the European final competition. The debate, where environmentally conscious young people gather, is based on the idea that plastic is the most environmentally friendly substance in the consumption of energy and Natural Resources.  

The Turkish Plastic Industry Research and Development Foundation (pagev) has carried out the second "Youth Debate Competition", which was realized with the support of the European Plastic Manufacturers Association PLASTICSEUROPE. 86 students from 20 schools participated in the competition, which took place between 16 and 19 years of age. The competition was held at the Meeting Hall of the governorship of Istanbul's Vatan Caddesi Special Provincial Administration Building.

Based on the idea that Plastik is the most environmentally friendly material in terms of energy and consumption of Natural Resources, PAGEV gives educated and environmentally sensitive young people the opportunity to defend their ideas. Organized to show the contributions of plastic to human life and to create awareness of the social environment, the competition brought together young people in line with these ideas. At the end of the competition, in which students defended two ideas, Saint Joseph was named the Student Of French High School Idil Uzun 1st. The 10 finalists, who were successful in the Turkish preliminary qualification of Pagev Youth Debate, were entitled to go to the European final competition in November. Tell other countries that will participate in the finals: Spain, Czech Republic, Italy, England, France, Germany, Poland and Sweden.

The first Youth Debate Competition, supported by the governorship of Istanbul, Association of private schools and the Provincial Directorate of Education of Istanbul and Kocaeli, was held on May 30, 2009. Three of the students who won the qualification in Turkey and represented our country in the European finals managed to enter the top 10.
