Opening of the 2025–2026 Academic Year
The PAGEV Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School for Plastic Technologies, which admits students in the fields of plastic technology and machine design, opened the 2025–2026 academic year. The school, with 32 classrooms, workshops, various laboratories, a conference hall, and a library, serves as a center for developing specialized talent for the plastics industry, with a total capacity of 739 students.
Yavuz Eroğlu, Chairman of the Turkish Plastics Industry Foundation (PAGEV), PAGÇEV, and SEM Plastik, attended the opening ceremony of the 2025–2026 academic year at the PAGEV Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School for Plastic Technologies and stated:
“Dear principal, esteemed teachers, valued students, and devoted parents,
It gives me great pleasure to be here with you today. PAGEV is a large and well-established family. Some of you have just joined this family this year, while others are continuing their education and training. First of all, I would like to congratulate all of you for placing your trust in this family.
Plastics are the profession of the future. Why? Because today, plastics are everywhere — not only in packaging or car circuits but in every aspect of life. Their use will continue to grow even further, and with the rise of artificial intelligence, the value of plastics will become even more evident.
Plastic, as a material, has the lowest carbon emissions, causes the least harm to the environment, and can be softer than silk yet harder than steel. For this reason, the plastics sector will continue to grow rapidly in the coming years.
As global growth accelerates, our greatest need will be qualified professionals. Therefore, I would like to congratulate the parents who have chosen to send their children here. This profession will be among the most important careers in both Türkiye and the world.
The goal of our school is to help take Türkiye further through education — by graduating skilled technicians like you, who will contribute both to our industry and to our country.
Dear principal, teachers, and students, please know that we are always by your side. We will be with you throughout your education here, and even after graduation, as you move into your professional careers in the sector.
Everything will continue with this school, and we will continue to stand with you.
With these thoughts and feelings, I wish you all a successful and blessed 2025–2026 academic year.”
