Sem plastik has developed the world's lightest plate that is 200 degree resistant to 30 airline companies, including thy. The planes have eased between 500 kg and 1 ton.

SEM plastic, which produces plastic service equipment to more than 30 airlines, including Thy, has signed an interesting invention in the sector. The company develops the world's lightest plastic that is 200 degrees heat-resistant, thus easing its aircraft between 500 kilos and 1 ton. In this way, the invention, which reduces the cost of the aircraft, will be used by thy in the near future. Stating that the product called borplas saves up to 3 percent in fuel, Sem Plastik CEO Yavuz Eroğlu explained the invention in the following words: "for the plates used on the plane, a durable but very light product such as porcelain was needed. In addition, the normal kiln should be in a structure that will not melt at 200 degrees Celsius and that can be heated in food. We've done it. The weight of a heat-resistant plate presented in the present is 600 grams and the weight of the Borpline is only 110 grams. Considering that there are 250 passengers on an average plane and that there are 2 catering services on an international flight, 250 kilograms are achieved at once. As the meals are loaded into the plane as a return from Turkey, the plane is lighter than 500 kilograms at one time. When we consider other plastic products, it is possible to save about 1 ton."
