Where is your factory in Palestine, in the area of fire?
In the city of El Halil, West Bank. There's nothing in the factory, but there's an unrest in the streets of Al-Khalil. We continue production, we have 55 employees. We founded it at the end of 2009. He sells goods to Jordan, he sells goods to Gaza when Gaza is open. Our partner is sending it to Egypt, from there through the tunnels to Gaza. We have products in Jerusalem, Made In Phalistine. The solution to the Palestinian question is to make sure that the people in Palestine remain there. We wanted to be a benefit to Palestine. We didn't ask any institutions in Turkey, we went directly. Moreover, there is a very well educated population in Palestine and the unemployed population is very high. It's not important for us to have money from there for five years and ten years. When we set up the facility, the Turks said they had established the facility and they liked it very much. Instead of large projects, sometimes small projects can be larger than the multiplier effect. First, a lot of our partner's relatives went into production in the same area. One plastic cup, the other paper cup, the other began to produce a bag. We are a family, and this is family job. There's a lot of plastic production in Al-Khalil now. I wish Turkey would go to another SME investment, even rival US. Talking, criticizing is simple, we've done something concrete. 

20 PERCENT OF PRODUCTION 

Made in Palestine is selling goods to Israel? How much of your production in Palestine is sold to Israel?
Especially in summer, there is a lot of demand for our factory. 20 percent of total production. What we see from Turkey is not the same in Palestine. Israel's share of Palestinian imports is 73 percent, and its share of exports is 85 percent. So if you're producing something in Palestine, you have to sell it to Israel. If the price is reasonable, Israel does not see a problem in buying goods. There is no other way to trade in Palestine. Israel is already paying customs duties in foreign trade.
 
You have an investment project in northern Iraq, don't you?
We slowed it down a bit, but we're still in pursuit. Firstly, we wanted to develop the Palestinian side. 

NORTHERN IRAQ IS THE RISKY MARKET

Are you specifically choosing fireplaces in the investment?
We already have a great dominance in the northern Iraqi market. We are in 133 countries, we are in the most important markets in the world, 7 of the world's 10 largest airlines are using our products at the awards. North Iraq is now a market that has a large risk but is also efficient forward-looking. There is political instability now, but if you enter that market already, it will be much easier to grow in the market tomorrow.

Plastic environmentally friendly recycling if available

You are the president of the European Union-based WasteFree Oceans Foundation in Turkey, Middle East and Africa. How do you combine environmental sensitivity with plastic? The result is plastic at the top of the list of environmentally conscious people.
I did my undergraduate education at ITU, full engineering school, people's perspective, analytical and accounting book work. I was the founding president of the Environmental Club. If we evaluate the environmental issue in a scientific context, that is, he has a mathematics, when you look at the effect of carbon emissions, plastic is the most environmentally friendly material.Why? First, plastic in terms of carbon emissions is much lighter than any alternative material, such as iron steel or even glass, with carbon emissions in the process. Recyclable and the easiest recyclable material. If there is a correct waste management, the best example is Germany, which is decomposed in its source and Germany is far ahead of recycling. In Turkey, waste management, recycling is a joke. You break up your garbage at home, collect plastic, paper in separate bags. The municipal vehicle that came to collect your garbage in the morning fills them up in the same truck and goes. 

IN FACT, IT'S A TREASURE
You put gas in your car at the very beginning, and as you get on the road, there's an exhaust emissions. Imagine if that exhaust came back and it was gasoline again. Plastic recycles if the correct waste management. Plastic is criticized for its environmental enmity, but only 4 percent of the total oil produced in the world goes to plastic production, mainly used in transportation, heating and cooling. With a correct recycling system, it is a treasure that is not plastic in terms of the environment. Besides, you know the most about emissions on airplanes. With the use of more plastic materials, the aircraft has become lighter, and can now travel more with less fuel. The same goes for our cars. Use some of our production at products, some of the airline companies for catering services. It is not enough to know plastic to serve the airline company, and you need to know Aviation. Yarn will be produced from wastes in Kırklareli

Special prize for Palestine

Harvard University has an all-World Network. Fast growing companies are selected in the world. SEM plastic and raw material production Credoy polymer company was also selected. When we went to the summit, they announced that our investment in Palestine would be given special prizes. Michael Porter, Professor of Business Administration at Harvard, published an article called Shared Value. The understanding of helping in the world started with philanthropy, then Social Responsibility projects were carried out, and beyond that, it says shared value. Our investment also received a prize because of the Shared Value. 

PET bottles in camel ear
 
Campaigns are being made to create sensitivity so that the PET bottles we drink will not be thrown into the sea. What is the ratio of PET bottles in the sea waste?
The ratio of PET bottles in the sea waste is in the camel ear. There are 140 million tons of waste in the sea in the world, and unfortunately, 10 million tons are added every year. 70 percent of this waste is under the sea, 30 percent surface. Eighty percent of sea waste is landfill. In other words, municipal integrated waste management technology does not apply and wild storage is stored using what we call waste to the sea. The most obvious example is the port city of Lebanon. Do you know where the garbage collection center is? Beach. Every wave carries more trash to the Mediterranean. Of course, if people are sensitive about not throwing PET bottles into the sea, they pressure local governments for proper waste storage systems.If people start asking the municipalities where you're putting my garbage, this is solved.
